CASABOT AI Home is a smart-home Android app: real-time smart-device control, a voice and chat assistant, live camera streaming, Matter device onboarding and push notifications.
My ownership
- Owned the app end to end as the sole Android engineer: architecture, development, testing and Play Store releases.
- Defined the architecture (Jetpack Compose, MVVM with use cases, Hilt, Room) and set the coding, testing and release standards.
- Led the AR feature, the product's key differentiator: shipped first on SceneView, then re-platformed onto a custom ARCore + Filament engine.
- Coordinated with the backend and iOS teams on API contracts and shared app-behavior documentation.
Outcome
- Took the app from an empty repository to a live product on Google Play.
- Shipped four production releases across QA, internal, closed-testing and production tracks.
- Investigated field issues with Crashlytics and analytics telemetry.
